My kids get out of school on 6/13. We are flying to Orlando on 6/14 and are planning to stay at WDW for 5 nts, that’s Thursday thru Tuesday. It will probably be more crowded because it’s the weekend. Or we could change it to 6/18 for 5 nts, Monday thru Saturday. Will it be less crowded because it’s during the week, or more crowded because more kids will be out of school? Any advice?

The weekends will still be busier than the weekdays. A lot of us Floridians have season passes and show up for the weekends. I would go for the most popular places on the weekdays, early in the morning. Go for the less popular parks on the weekends. Early in the day you can get on quite a few rides and get a couple fastpasses. Again at night, it’s a special time to be in the parks because of how they light everything up. And by that time, a lot of people have started to drag themselves out of the park.
I highly suggest you change it to 6/18
it probably won;t make a difference since all kids will be out of school in the summer. It will be crowded anytime of the week. Summer is a busy time and it will be hot…so i would take some time in your day to have pool time or go to one of the waterparks.
The first two weeks in June are the best. When you hit June 14, the crowds get heavy. So if you are going after that, it won’t matter. Best thing to do is use the fast pass for lines, ride the big rides early in the day and try to take advantage of early open and late open days. Most will tell you to avoid these times, but most everyone will be trying to avoid a crowd by not going to them and it makes for LESS lines.
Good luck. Bring rain gear.
Its going to be packed b/c the schools in Central Florida will already be out for the summer. You’re coming during the busy season so plan accordingly. Don’t try to rush things, drink lots of water, take breaks. relax and have fun!
Either way it will be crowded because in the south, school will have been out for about a month (approximately anyway). Have a great trip!
there is no best time to go to Disney in the summertime. It’s sooo extremely packed. I used to work in MGM on the Rockin Rollercoasters ride n theres a computer that shows how many people are in the park. The best time to go (peoplewise) is in the winter, but weather wise(and even peoplewise), it’s in April/May. If you go in June, make sure you go during the weekday, preferably Mondays or Tuesdays.
The peak season has already begun here so changing your travel date really won’t make a difference. The most important thing to do is to find the ways to maximize your vacation time. Purchase your attraction tickets ahead of time so you will not have to stand in line to purchase tickets at the gate. Map out where and what you want to see at the theme parks and stick to your schedule. Eat a good breakfast before going to the theme parks. Anyone of the local buffets will do. Check the weather report each day before you go to the theme parks. If there is going to be rain in the afternoon, go to all of the outside ride in the morning and save the shows for the afternoons if it is going to rain.
I really believe it doesn’t matter. I would go during the weekday. You remember all over the U.S. kids get out of school at different times. Where I live kids get out in May. So go with the weekdays. If you are wanting to save time and make the best out of your trip. Bring a backpack and bring drinks and snacks. You don’t want to wait 10 minutes in line just to get a soda. Not to mention the drinks at the vending machines are 5.00 dollars. Also learn what a fast pass is and map out what rides you DEFINETLY want to go on the night before. I guarantee you will save a couple hours that way. Have fun
That time of year is busy pretty much no matter what day you visit. However, it is always wise to visit the parks on a weekday as opposed to a weekend. Save weekends for the beach or other local area attraction or location like Kennedy Space Center or Islands of Adventure!

Disney is going to be crouded in the summer no matter when you go. I suggest you keep your trip as is because you are leaving as soon as your children finish school, while most people are more likely to wait a few weeks/months after there children are finished.
Remember Disney has 4 amusement parks, 2 water parks and the Downtown Area. People are so spread out that you rarely notice the crouds.
