Disney Land is in California. Walt Disney started to built his park there in secret. Once people found out about his secret he knew it would never get finished and wouldnt be the park or "dream" he wanted. That is why Disney Land is much smaller and only has one park, it was never finished. After his secret got spoiled he found a new secret location Orlando, Florida. No one found out about his secret and that is why Walt Disney World is much bigger, and has soo many different parks.
DisneyWorld is in Orlando, Florida and has 4 theme parks and Disneyland is in Los Angeles, California I think and has one theme park.

Short answer – Disney World is a lot bigger.
Long answer – Disneyland is the original Disney theme park. There are now two parks, Disneyland and California Adventure. it is in California.
Disney World is in Florida. It is made up of four theme parks: Magic Kingdom (which is the most like Disneyland, but still quite different), Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. There are also two water parks, multiple hotels with different activities, golf, mini-golf, etc. There’s just a lot more to do here.
Generally, Disneyland appeals more to locals or nearby visitors, where Disney World draws visitors from all over the country and the world.
