Actually, the cheapest way would be, no dining plan(unless included for free), and no hopper option.
If you pay for dining plan, ask yourself if you really going to eat at restaurants every day and if you do, is it going to be enough for you just an entree and no appetizer(not included), no wine(not included), if you want them you will pay out of pocket and so tips(not included).

I also do not like hoppers, waste of your time on transfer between parks and extra money.

Loving, is there any reason you cannot share this information with the rest of the group?

If you suggesting buying tickets from not official vendors than it is SCAM.

And if you found some great coupons or something, we would love to hear it as well, openly on line.

Your cheapest way to go and stay on Disney property is one of their value resorts like the all star music. Unfortunately, Disney does not discount tickets and I would be very weary of any booths you find in Orlando who offer them. Most of them are tied to timeshare presentations which they say are 90 minutes but after working in the business, I can tell you are actually 3-5 hours especially if you buy anything. Never buy tickets they have been used but still have days on them since they will not work because you will not match the fingerprint that is taken when the ticket is originally scanned by Disney. I would not suggest the meal plan either as it is overpriced and you would do better by just picking things yourself and splitting one big meal for dinner.

if you want to stay in actual disney land then the cheapest place to stay is the all-star resorts. theres all-star movies, all-star sports, and all-star music. i stayed there and they are defiantly the cheapest out of all the disney resorts. but i must worn you there food is dreadful its the same every day. its selective but they never change everything. there not worth the money. plus if you want to go out of disney you have to pay for cabs all the time and that’s about $60 a time. i would advise you to stay off of disney and hire a car. if you stay on international drive you have everything on your doorstep. all the restaurants and stuff and there 5 star hotels are the same price as the all-star resorts which is a 3 star. plus international drive is only 10-20 Min’s away from disney. but one of the good things about the all-star resorts they have free bus transport to all the disney parks. im going in 6 days so im so excited its the best!! hope i helped you.

WDW is offering a special Free Dining deal now. They have a package that includes Disney Resort room, Theme Park admission tickets and a FREE dining plan. You must book between Oct 1-Nov 24,09 and Nov 29- Dec 17,09.

Book one of the Value Resorts thru Disney and I believe you will get a good price. BTW, my personal Value Resort is Pop Century. It is the newest of the values and they don’t share the bus transport with the other resorts.

Book through AAA I did this in April and they were able to save me almost $800.00 then what I could have booked it for online. They can get you all the deals Disney has to offer, the free dining plan ect. Look into it it is worth it and you can put down a deposit and pay a little at a time.

A few years ago, we rented a motorhome and drove from Texas to WDW. Parked near the place and saved a bundle. This may not work for you if you live in a Galaxy way far away, but just a thought!

    1. Skip the hopper for most days. You won’t want to spend 90 minutes dealing with going from one park to another; there is plenty to keep you busy in one park from opening time until closing time.
    2. Have extra food to supplement what you get from the meal plan unless you are both very light eaters. If you can, have fruits, sandwich fixings, meal bars, cereal in your room and pack a couple of very filling snacks to take with you to the parks. The resort gift shops have convenience store type groceries (boxes of crackers, quarts of milk, soda, beer) and the General Store at Fort Wilderness Campground has a good selection of regular groceries. However food prices, whether restaurant, snack bar, gift shop, or general store, are going to be very high anywhere in WDW.
    3. Train yourselves to not look left or right and not slow down. Every ride "conveniently" exits through a snack bar or gift shop.

The cheapest hotels would be All Star Music, All Star Movies, and All Star Sports. Personally I like them. I’ve heard that the Disney Dining Plan is good too.

I want to answer this in extreme detail for you. My husband and I go every year (just the 2 of us) and this year we are taking a family member with us. Last year we spent $1500 for 4 nights/5days. This was Disney Dining, Room at Animal Kingdom (studio), Flight. The tickets cost the most but this year we got discount tickets.

A couple of years ago we read some books…got some tips and have been utilizing them ever since.

Just to start – Disney is offering free dining if you book now! This is a great deal so take advantage ASAP!

    - Staying in the value resorts is the cheapest way to go. Try and stay at Pop Century. It’s the newest of the value resorts and it has it’s own transportation.

    - Park hopping is more expensive but it is well worth the money (in my opinion). It’s great because if you finish what your doing at one park, you can head over to the next. Or if you have dining reservations at one park and are visiting another for the day, you have more flexibility. It also doesn’t take 90 mins to get from park to park. Magic Kingdom + Epcot are on the monorail line. Buses run regularly to the Ticket and Transportation Center making things easy. You just have to give yourself enough time to be early for your reservations.

    - Set a limit for spending on souveniers. We usually get 1 or 2 0- always Mouse Ears! They are a great way to remember your Disney trip.

    - Spend a couple of days relaxing by your pool, or driving down to one of the beaches if you rent a car. If not, the pools are heated in the "winter’ months.

    - Take advantage of Disneys free transportation to and from Orlando International Airport, and around the resorts!

    - Also check out low cost air carriers like Southwest, Air Tran, Jetblue, etc.
