To use the Disneyworld (Florida) extra hours, do you have to be inside the park before the extra hours begin?

I am staying at Disneyworld hotel. This allows me to stay in certain parks longer than people who are not staying in a Disney hotel. Can I enter after the extra hours begin or must I be in the park BEFORE the extra hours begin?

You can actually do both. While inside the park, cast members will hand out wristbands at certain locations before the park closes to non-resort guests. If you arrive after the extra magic hours begin, the cast members at the gate will check your resort ID before allowing you in.
it really helps to be in the park before the magic hours starts because they give out id wristbands to show who is and who isn’t on the extra hours.have fun
usually the extra hours are before the normal opening time and this is reserved for hotel guests.
