Is there a free way to travel from Disneyworld to Universal Studios Orlando?

I am going to Disneyworld in a few weeks. Is there some sort of shuttle which could take me from my hotel in Disneyworld to universal for a day?

Disney does not offer transportation to Universal Studios, Sea World, or other attractions outside of the Disney World property. If you want to visit another park during your vacation, you will have to arrange your own transportation. Universal Studios just started offering a shuttle from the Disney Resorts to either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure for a small fee.
If you are staying at a hotel that is not a Disney hotel they may offer a shuttle… there is nothing from a Disney hotel that will take you to Universal, there is always a taxi but it would be expensive…
I agree. Check with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle to Universal. Many in the area do. If they do, you would just take your shuttle back to your hotel and then board the Universal Studios one.
If they don’t, you’ll need to get a rental car or take a service shuttle. I recommend Mears Transportation over a taxi. They are less expensive, cleaner, and have great customer service. Check them out online at: http://www.mearstransportation.com
