I read on the website reservations should be made, has anyone had problems getting into the restaurants? Im asking because I dont know where to eat. Ive been to Disneyland over 20 times but never Disneyworld. Ill be there for about 2 weeks if that matters.

Reservation are completely necessary for certain resturaunts.
Resturaunts like "Liberty Tavern/Charecter Dining" will almost certainly need booking.
However Cafes and resturaunts like "Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe" will require no booking.
Upon entering any of the parks you should pick up the map. On this you will find details of each parks food Facilities.
There will symbols beside the resturaunts to inform you of the price:
$- Cheapest
$$- not to expensive or cheap.
$$$- Most expensive
And there will also be some sort of "R" symbol which means it’s recommened that you reserve. Usually I would book it the day
I arrive in the park, but if you feel you would like to book now please use the following number to book 180 days in advance of your arrival:
407-WDW-DINE

absolutely without a DOUBT get reservations!!
I went for my first trip in July, and without a reservation, we got stuck eating outside (ughh soooo hot!!) not only that, but the restaurants actually get full!
go get a Birnbaum guide book–they are the best, they can break it all down for you by park.
My recommendations: 50′s Prime Time Diner (MGM), the Sci-Fi Drive In Cafe (MGM), and the English Pub in Epcot (sorry I cant recall the name right now)
GREAT food!!
with two weeks, you should have plenty of time to see the best places! but dont wait until you get there to make the reservations!!
There are two types of restaurants: sit-down (table-service), and counter-service. Counter-service is the cheaper ones where you get in line, order, and take your food to your table and clean up after yourself. Disney does not take reservations for these restaurants.
Because the dining plan has been so popular, you absolutely need reservations for table-service restaurants (this includes all character meals). And if you don’t eat at any table-service restaurants, the dining plan really doesn’t pay off. So you will have to plan ahead. Personally, this is why I don’t like the dining plan – I don’t want to plan all my meals in advance and be tied down to a schedule!
However, the best way to plan your meals is to study the menus which are all available on http://www.allearsnet.com and they also have reviews and prices.
With many peole using the dining plan more people are eating at the table service places, which are the only places you can get prefered seating (a reservation). We have experienced both long waits and no table available so make your reservations. Make them as early as you can also, many places will book fast and I even had trouble getting reservations at a couple of places a couple of months in advance. Special events will be a factor also.
As an annual pass holder i can tell you that reservations are a must if you want to eat at any particular sit down restaurants. Some restaurants (Cinderella’s Royal Table) usually fills up months in advance.
Counter service will not require reservations but eating early will avoid you long lines to find a table. Or if you have cell phones, have your party split up and call you when they find a table and let you know where they are.
Sit down places fill up quickly because they are a good rest in the middle of the day. you get to sit down, enjoy your meal and not worry about getting up for more ketchup, etc. you can go to a site like http://www.allearsnet.com and check out the reviews from other guests as well as see some menus. Right now they are in a transition stage and unless the menu is only a couple of weeks old, some items may have changed. but you can still get an idea of prices.
if you are not sure what you will be in the mood that day i can suggest that when you arrive at the park in the morning, you go to guest services and try to make a reservation at that time. You might still be able to squeeze in but might not have that much choice in available times so you may end up with an early or late lunch.
My favorite restaurants are
Le Cellier (Steakhouse in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion)
The Brown Derby (Disney MGM Studios) expensive but great food and wonderful service. Very romantic.
50s Prime Time Cafe (MGM again) this is a theme restaurant. it looks like a 50s kitchen. Home style meals. Fun place to eat.
Sci-Fi Dinner (MGM) fun place to eat. food is good but the ambiance is what makes this place fun. Small parties will share cars/tables.
Rose and Crown (Epcot’s UK Pavilion) great English restaurants. Like their Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash.
There are other great restaurants both in the parks and at some of their hotels. You can always take the free Disney transportation to one of the hotels for lunch or dinner. The crowds are usually a little better there.
TIP: if you are at Epcot and finding it hard to find a sit down restaurant you can always use the exit between the French and UK Pavilions and walk to the Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach Club for lunch. If you can wait until dinner Spoodles offers great Mediterranean inspired food.
There are a LOT of places to eat in all three of the disneyworld parks…it depends on what type of meal and when you are going..
They have special dinners for kids with the disney characters and those are the only ones I ever had to plan ahead but it was still very easy
You have to book reservations or you won’t be able to eat at the places you want. Been there twice. Once with reservations. The second without. The second time we went we were able to get in some of the restaurants. But most of the time we were either turned away or there was a 45 minute waiting list. We went in November which is the time for smaller crowds and shorter hours. So as you can see, reservations are needed in busy and slow months. You’ll love it there but it makes you appreciate Disneyland even more.
I recommend that you eat at the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort during the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. You get a bird’s eye view of the show which is awesome and they play the music for the fireworks show in the restaurants. It takes two of the sit down restaurants but it’s so worth it.
P.S.:
Use this WDW fansite’s restaurant guide to help you decide where to eat at. It was very helpful for us.

Have a good time!
OK There are lots of fast food and dine in restrunts in Disney world so lots of times ITS HARD TO PICK!!! But when it comes to reservations most of the time you dont have ones but it also matters when an where you go.
And also if you stay in one of the Disney Hotels, Theres a HUGE food court right next to the hotels
