I have three kids ages 8, 6, and 3. my husband and I want to take them to Disneyworld this year but we don’t know how to go about it and get the best deal that wont take all our income. So when do you think is the best time of the year to go and why? and should we book it ourselves through the Disney customer service or through a travel agency. should we drive or fly? all this is driving us up the wall any help will appreciated!

These all have good answers, except the travel agent since you said on your own! Definitely check out disney books they can give you lost of info. Birnbaum’s Guide, and the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World are both good. Watch the disney website for any good deals. In the past year they have had free dining, and a free $750 gift card to Disney when you book.

If you don’t mind staying in a kind of old resort that needs some renovating you can stay at a value resort and be fine. You shouldn’t be in your room that much any way :) Pop Century is the most newly renovated. If you book on the disney website you can get good deals packaging the tickets and room together. STAY ON SITE!! The extra-magic-hours, and free bus transportation everywehere make it worth while! Also the atmosphere is fun too! I don’t know where you live as far as driving, but it just depends if you want to save time, but spend extra money. If you fly, Disney has free aiport pick up.
For a package with 6days/5nights at a value resort and 5 days of park tickets the prices are around:
    March 8-13: $2,786
    April 5-11: $3,351
    May 10-15:$2,476
    June 7-12:$2,702
    July 12-17:$2702
    August 9-14:$2702
    September 13-18:$2210
    October4-9: $2464
    November 8-13: $2464
    December 6-11: $2210
All family suites have one queen-size bed, a living room with a double-size sleeper sofa, and 2 twin-size sleeper chairs, 2 bathrooms, a mini-kitchen, vanity area with sink, and table and chairs. All rooms are non-smoking. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, high-speed Internet access (additional fee), microwave, iron and ironing board. A hairdryer and Pack ‘n Play® playard are available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Located close to the Main Building, these rooms offer views of the parking lot, courtyard or pool

When you book a room and ticket together, you automatically get the Magic Your Way Base Package, which includes vouchers for Planet Hollywood, miniature golf, Disney Arcade, discounts, and luggage tags for everybody in your party.

I got out books on disney at my library and read through them. THere really are not any deals for park tickets. You are best to go on the disney web site to get them. If I had any questions I called disney direct. I checked out 3 travel agents for disney and they could not get me a better deal than I could my self on the disney web site. best time to go is when the kids are in school. It will be less crowded them. disney is expensive to go to. staying at a disney resort is the best way to go. check out the value resorts there. also web site below

I own a travel agency in North Central Florida. I specialize in Disney Vacations. I discount your trip cheaper than you can get from Disney themselves. Shoot me an email as to what exactly your looking for. belleviewtravel@aol.com

    "Drip" is right!

Disney has different seasons. i.e. Value Season, Summer Season, Regular Season, Peak Season, and Holiday Season.

This year the Value Season is from 1/3-2/11, 7/18-9/30, and (my favorite time to go) 11/28-12/16.
Peak Season starts on President’s day 2/15 and ends 3/27.
The Holiday Season is the most expensive! That’s 12/16-12/31.

These two sites have more in depth information on seasons and discounts at Walt Disney World.

Hi we own an apartment at the sheraton Vistana Resort Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, we will be renting it out this year, we have available only 3 weeks left and would rent out either one, two or the entire three weeks in the summer. Our apartment has 2 bedrooms both with on-suite, the apartment can sleep up to 8 people. This resort is a 5* resort, gated with security, it has 8 swimming pools, day time and evening entertainment, food court, tennis courts, bike hire and much much more.
