My sister and I want to go to either Disneyland or Disneyworld but are not sure which one would be better overall. Any advice on which one we should pick, and how to get a good package deal on flight, hotel, and park hopper tickets?

Depends where you live ??? One is in FLORIDA , one is in CALI…I suppose if you guys live in Alaska, the closest one would be most economical right ??? Been to both and one is no better than the other…travelzoo’s website seems to have good deals , check the internet for online travel agencies…. there are tons of deals to Disneyland / World….

Good luck & bon voyage !

Disneyland will most likely be cheaper because it is closer, but sometimes there are travel deals to Orlando that are very good. Sometimes it is cheaper to book everhing seperately (going directly to the airline and hotel website), but you can try expedia.com or yahootravel.com for package deals.

disneyland is closer to you but disney world is bigger and hence better.

    Disneyland is obviously closer.
If you have time and a reliable car, you could drive there in about 21 hours, and see sights along the way. I have done this many times, with friends, and with family both. That also gives you transportation while in the L.A. area, so you can see other tourist attractions as well.

If you must fly, check deals, as you very well might comparable deal to either place, despite the distance difference. I always thought there would be more to see at Disneyworld and the entire complex there in Florida, but haven’t been there, so I don’t know.

The last time I took my family there, in 2001, three teens and myself, I got a package deal of hotel room at the Raddison two blocks from Disneyland for 8 days, 5 day pass to Disneyland and California Adventures, plus coupons and extra’s, plus a day tour to Tiajuana for $1,100 through the Disney Travel Agency. Transportation there was extra, and we drove (from Eugene).

Personal note … by the fourth day, we were weary and bored by the Disneyland/Adventures complex. A three day pass (which includes both parks) could very well be sufficient, especially during winter months.
