Beaches offer tourists a place to rest and unwind. At the same time, they offer a variety of activities for adventure-seekers, which is why they are popular tourist destinations. Croatia beaches, in particular, are the country’s premiere tourist attractions and are considered some of the best beaches in the world.

Croatia has a mile-long pristine shoreline, as well as over 1,000 islands on the Adriatic Sea. This means that you’ll have lots of beaches to choose from. Some of the beaches are sandy while others are covered with gravel, pebbles or rocks. You’ll find nudist beaches, too.

One of the most popular Croatia beaches is the Brela Beach. In fact, it is considered the best beach, not only in Croatia, but in the entire continent. This is because Brela Beach offers a full six-kilometre stretch of gravel-like sand, as well as many coves nestled by pine trees. These coves are ideal spots for couples looking forward to a romantic honeymoon, as well as any tourist longing for a break.

Paradise Beach is also a famous tourist destination. Located in the village of Lopar, it is the most popular of Rab Island’s 22 sandy beaches. It also has a shallow bay, making it the perfect beach for beginners or young swimmers.

Another great place to go swimming is the Lubenice Beach on Cres Island, also known as the Sveti Ivan Beach. This beach is listed as one of the best hidden beaches in the world and is also one of the most romantic Croatia beaches.

Do you like windsurfing? If so, a trip to the Zlatni Rat Beach is a must. Indeed, among the Croatia beaches, Zlatni Rat Beach is considered a haven for windsurfers. It is also a beautiful pebbly beach with a cape that changes according to the wind and waves – a unique phenomenon which provides tourists various opportunities to swim and sunbathe.

If you consider diving as a more fun activity, though, then you should head out to Trstenik Beach, which has its own diving center. Take a plunge into Croatia’s underwater wildlife on the coast of the Peljesac peninsula or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere while lying on a bed of smooth stones.

Croatia has other attractions, as well, such as the magnificent Diocletian Palace and the Plitvice Lakes Natural Park. However, if you truly want a memorable vacation in Croatia, then you shouldn’t skip out on the Croatia beaches. After all, they are the best beaches not only in Europe but all over the world.
