If you still haven’t been out of the United States, you really should think about going. You can usually find packages of hotels and flights that will save you a bunch of money. Many countries have hotels that offer all inclusive stays which means your food and drink are included.

I just got back from Mexico not too long ago. You talk about fun, it is incredible to see how other cultures live. I got down to the market in the down town of the city I was staying in and negotiated prices on my souvenirs. I love the fact that their culture is so different from ours.

You also need to try the authentic food of another country. It is a new experience that everyone should have. Eating at an authentic restaurant is not the same, they still americanize the food somewhat.

If you are outside the country make sure you pay attention to all the details. You would be amazed at what you notice when you pay attention to your surroundings in another country. I couldn’t believe the way people drove, when I was in my taxi on the way to the hotel, I swore the driver was going to kill us. After the ride it was fun, I was safe and I just realized they are different than us.

You have to be aware of things like the smells in another country. The scent of another place is even exciting. You also need to pay attention to the landscape, not just the natural but the man made. If you have a chance, leave this country on a trip!
