Experts and Cheap Hotel Rates: The Business

The hotel industry is not doing well these days. Comforts and staff are lost on the way. However, for most hotels, custumer service marks are even getting higher.
First, jobs in the industry are becoming rare. This shows in the employees themselves, putting more effort in fulfilling their customers’ needs than they would have a few years ago, only to keep their jobs. The ones that never refused to pamper their guest had never been fired, after all. The remaining guests are now being held by simply spoiling them and applying the hotels’ own programs to push brand loyalty.
Second, the hotels denote fewer guests. By the end of the first week in May, a decrease of 14%, as opposed to last year’s rate, took place, reports Smith Travel Research. A lower number is presented by Pricewaterhouse: Their forecast of a 3.5% drop would still put the industry below its 1971 rate!
Let’s compare this data with the employment rates of the industry. From June 2008 to June 2009, of drop of 8.3% from 1,955,300 to 1,793,900 is reported by the ADP. Following the current trend in America, the mostly large or midsize hotels of the survey kept more of their staff than smaller hotels.
Consequently, hotel guests these days are very happy. This is not a surprise, now that not only are the staff working harder to please their customers needs, but also have the ratios changed, allowing more employees per guest. The third reason is the lower cost of 9.4%. The logical result is guests feeling like royalty in their own low priced castle!
Remember to pack chargers for your electrinic devices such as cell phone, iPod, GPS, alarm clock, and electronic games – in case you have kids. Sunglasses and bathing suit will also need to find a place in your luggage. That in mind, all you have to do is lay back and look forward to a refreshing holiday!
