Enjoy An African Safari Adventure

Do you love being outdoors? Is your idea of vacation involve spending time observing wildlife in their natural habitat? If so, an African safari vacation may be the ideal vacation for you.

African safari vacations are popular right now. They’re so popular that you’ll find many travel agencies and companies offering packages designed to provide tourists a taste of African safari adventure. These package tours are accompanied by experts.

Accommodation is usually in lodges and camps, equipped with hot showers. Meals and barbecues are prepared by the company cook.

Kenya is a popular destination for African safari vacations. There are packages that include a beach holiday. With 40 national parks and game reserves, you’ll have plenty of things to see in Kenya. For instance, you may travel to the Kimana Game Sanctuary that’s located at the foot of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro.

Two other popular national parks in Kenya are the Mount Kenya National Park, which is a rich rain forest, and Masai Mara, which consists of stretching plains. If you happen to go on one of the African safari vacations in Kenya, your guide will drive you and the other tourists either in 4×4 vehicles, open back trucks or mini buses.

For an aerial view of the landscape, there are fly/drive packages, using small, light aircraft. Kenya brings opportunities to see leopards, gazelle, crocodiles, giraffes, zebra, lions and hippos.

South Africa is another beautiful country, teeming with wild animals. An African safari here offers a great variety of landscape, including wetlands, semi-desert, open grassland and old forest. The Phinda region is popular and can be explored on foot, by vehicle or light aircraft.

There are also African safari vacation packages that include exploring South Africa by boat. Expect to see lions, buffalo, rhinos, leopards and elephants. You’ll see packs of hyenas and wild dogs, leopards and elephants when you tour the Madikwe Game Reserve.

For a truly unique experience, there are companies that organise an African safari to Uganda and Rwanda. Uganda has a population of lowland gorillas and chimpanzees. There is also game in the savanna of the Queen Elizabeth National Park and the chance to see elephants, giraffes, antelope and birds.

To see a variety of bird species, pick an African safari vacation that includes a tour to Uganda’s Mgahinga Volcanoes in its itinerary. You’ll see elephants, giraffes, antelopes and birds when you tour the savanna in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Another popular destination in Uganda is the Murchisson Falls National Park. The waterfall is a wonderful sight and the wildlife include baboons, warthogs and zebras.

Mountain gorillas abound in Rwanda. It’s said that if you’ll see about 350 mountain gorillas in the slopes of the Parc National des Volcans. Uganda and Rwanda are popular African safari destinations for those who are after seeing volcanoes, lakes, forests and waterfalls, as well as lowland and mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
