A Transportation and Booking Guide: Getting a Deal in Las Vegas!

August 26, 2009 by Kyle Chapman · Leave a Comment

Alright, it’s Las Vegas time! Get all your buddies, get a room, book a flight, and have fun! But wait…what’s the best way to go about doing all of this? Can I get this stuff for a discount, or maybe even free?

You sure can! There are actually a couple of different ways to get deals on a Las Vegas hotel and airfare. You just have to know how to work the system, and where to look.

Well let’s start off with the fun part, FREE STUFF! Whoa now, don’t get too excited because to be honest, most people don’t get free rooms or airfare when going to Las Vegas. That’s just the facts. However, it is possible to achieve, and here’s how.

If you gamble a lot and are part of a casino’s players club, they will start sending you offers in the mail. A lot of times these offers include free hotel stays, food, shows, and transportation. However, the kind of offers you get depends on how often you gamble and how much money you are betting.

Now, if you gamble more than a normal customer the casino will provide you with a “Casino Host”. A host’s job is to give you free stuff and make you happy! Yes, I said that correctly. Their job is to give you stuff! So, if you are offered a Casino Host, be glad. They will give you their card, and next time you plan on coming to town call them on up. They will set you up with rooms, nightclub reservations, show tickets, and pretty much anything you can think of. Don’t start doing cartwheels just yet though, as they can’t give you EVERYTHING. They have bosses to answer to as well and the things you get still depends on how much money you’re gambling, and how long you’re there. But having a casino host really is the best way to go about getting free stuff.

Alright, now if you are like most people, you aren’t getting offers in the mail and you don’t have a host. So what is a “normal Joe” to do to save a little cash? You have two options.

*Book through a booking company that offers vacation packages. If the hotel itself isn’t going to give you free stuff, go ahead and go through one of these companies to find Las Vegas hotel and airfare deals. A lot of times, these companies bunch things together like a hotel, flight, and a rental car so you can purchase it all in one place. You can often find great deals doing this, because these companies often buy a “block” of hotel rooms, or “X” amount of rental cars and they get a deal for purchasing in bulk. Therefore, they can pass the discounts on to you.

*Visit the hotel’s website. Especially in Las Vegas, different hotels will give discounts for Las Vegas rooms seasonally. You can often find a deals such as, “Get a room for $175 a night, and receive a $25 food credit, and $30 in free slot play.”

In conclusion, you have a couple of different roads that you can take to get that Las Vegas hotel and airfare discount that you’re seeking. You can gamble a lot to get deals, you can book through a booking company, or you can check for deals on the hotel’s websites. There really much of a reason to pay sticker price until you shop around a little for those Las Vegas air hotel specials.

Alright, it’s Las Vegas time! Get all your buddies, get a room, book a flight, and have fun! But wait…what’s the best way to go about doing all of this? Can I get this stuff for a discount, or maybe even free?

Absolutely there is! As a matter of fact, there are a couple of ways to go about getting a deal on a Las Vegas hotel and airfare. You just have to know where to look.

Let’s jump right into the fun part. FREE STUFF! Ok, now don’t get too excited because to be honest, most people don’t get free rooms or airfare when going to Las Vegas. That’s just the facts. As the old saying goes, “How do I get a free room in Vegas? You buy a hotel.” Well, that isn’t exactly true, but you are going to have to do a little bit of gambling.

To get some good offers from the casinos, you are going to have gamble a lot. You need to be a part of the casino’s players club, and they will start mailing you offers. These offers often include free hotel rooms, show tickets, food, and sometimes transportation.

Sorry to say, but only a few people get those privileges. So if you are like most people, you don’t get any offers in the mail, and you don’t have a “Casino Host”. That’s ok though, you can still save some money. There are two things that you can do.

*Book through a booking company that has vacation packages. If the hotel itself isn’t going to give you free stuff, go ahead and go through one of these companies to find Las Vegas air hotel specials. A lot of times you can bunch things together like a flight, hotel, and a rental car. You can often find great deals doing this, because these companies often buy a “block” of hotel rooms, or “X” amount of rental cars and they get a deal for buying in bulk. Therefore, they can pass the discount Las Vegas rooms and rental cars on to you.

*Go to the hotel’s website. Especially in Las Vegas, different hotels sometimes offer discount Las Vegas rooms seasonally. Sometimes you can find a deal like, “Get a room for $150 a night, and receive a $50 food voucher, and $25 free slot play.”

So, in conclusion you have a couple of options to get that deal you’re looking for. Gamble a lot and get freebies, go through a booking company, or check for deals on hotels’ websites. There really isn’t any reason to pay full price until you shop around a little for those Las Vegas air hotel specials.

Luxury in Las Vegas

I’m glad that you are considering a trip to Las Vegas. It’s one of the best places on Earth, and you won’t be disappointed! However, you want to stay in a nice place right? When you mean nice, you mean the nicest places Las Vegas has to offer, right? So your first step is finding them.

So which hotels exactly are the nicest and fanciest? Well good place to start would be the AAA Five Diamond Award winning hotels. These include the Venetian, Bellagio, MGM Skylofts, the Four Seasons, and we certainly can’t forget about the Wynn.

When it comes to gambling and if you like to gamble high stakes, all of these properties can accommodate the limits you like to play (except the Four Seasons, as it doesn’t offer gaming). However, most of the highest rollers tend to hang out in the Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian.

The Bellagio hotel is the one remembered most for its elaborate fountain show outside of the hotel. This place is truly elegant, and screams of class. It has plenty of fine dining options, and really is a sight to see. While there, check out the Botanical Gardens. It is a garden display next to check in that changes seasonally.

The Venetian is an Italian themed hotel. It has gondolas that go inside the mall, and in front of the hotel. Guests can actually ride in them with singing gondoliers. The Venetian puts an emphasis on Italian themed art and decor. The ceilings are painted like the Sistine Chapel, and the tile work and wall decorations bring the whole look together for a great visual stimulation.

At the top of the MGM Grand, you will find the MGM Skylofts. The Skylofts are great rooms with lots of amenities and luxuries that you won’t find in a normal room at the MGM Grand. As far as the MGM Grand itself, it’s a very large establishment with a huge variety of dining, gaming, and entertainment. It isn’t as flashy as the Wynn, Venetian, or Bellagio, but it is still a very nice place.

The Wynn hotel (along with its sister property Encore) is the latest design by renowned casino resort/real-estate developer Steve Wynn. Wynn’s previous projects include the Mirage, Treasure Island, and the Bellagio before they were sold off to other companies.

The Wynn, which Steve claims as, “The only hotel I’ve ever signed my name to” really has has a lot to offer its guests. In the Wynn, you’ll find fine dining, the Esplanade Shoppes which feature some of the most famous brands in retail, to a golf course, and even a Ferrari/Maserati dealership! Around every turn you will find visually stimulating displays. The Wynn really puts emphasis on luxury and great service, and is a great place to stay in Las Vegas.

All of these properties are absolutely stunning, and simply wonderful. If you’re looking for world class service and amenities you’ll find them at these hotels. There is nothing second class when it comes to these places. So go ahead, spoil yourself a little. You deserve it.
