What town would you recommend a familiy with kids to move to, close to Las Vegas?

We are a young family, planning to move to Nevada. We are looking for a safe and cozy smalltown close to Las Vegas.
Any suggestions?

Definitely Boulder City. It can be kind of pricey, but it is very quaint and you really can’t find any place nicer in Southern Nevada, IMO. It’s a town of about 16,000 but only a half hour at the most from downtown Las Vegas.
Also, the city itself has slow growth policies, so the housing market there might be a bit small.
If you can’t manage to live there, I’d recommend Green Valley or Summerlin, which are nice Las Vegas suburbs.
Henderson… I have a friend who lives there, and she loves it. one of the fastest growing suburbs in the US today.
