My husband and I are going to Las Vegas next week. I have been there quite a few times, but it is my husband’s first time. There are so many great things to do in Vegas that it is almost overwhelming! So, what is the one thing that we shouldn’t pass up?

One thing? lol that’s cruel and unusual if I can only pick one.
Well, since the Fountains of Bellagio have already been mentioned. I could watch them for hours on end. >For a romantic evening, make reservations at Mon Ami Gabi the french cafe at Paris. You have to request outdoor seating, after sunset is best(IMO)< You can have a bite to eat or just a glass of wine and watch the fountains.

Okay, now that I bent the rules a little, on to my choice.
The view from Stratosphere Tower at sunset is an awesome one. The sun setting beyond the mountains then billions of lights come to life, it’s an amazing scene.
If you would like to have dinner, too. Top of the World Restaurant – Stratosphere – 1-702-380-7711 – The restaurant(900ft up) rotates 360 degrees once per hour.

Later: If you would like to take a day trip. Our favorite is Mt Charleston – Toiyabe National Forest – Only 35 miles N of LV, so it’s an easy drive, without all of the traffic(Hoover Dam)
Go to the strip club, go to a magic show, gamble
Gamble or go to some shows, anything that sounds fun to you at the time would be good too.
GO TO RED ROCK, TAKE YOUR CAMERA… IT’S TO GREAT TO PASS UP!!!
Tip…..waiters/waitresses maids bell person any service you get…
I highly recommend the fountains show in front of the Bellagio. It is choreographed movements of water, accompanied by music.
It plays more than once per hour I believe in the evenings at least. I don’t know about daylight hours, but at night they use lighting tricks very effectively.
Best of all: it’s free!
Well its not exactly a fun ride or anything, but it will save you time and leg pains (esp. if you’re gonna be in heels)…… get the Monorail pass! It has like 5 stops on it I think at different hotels down the strip. It goes up and down so you can get on at Bally’s, the Flamingo, the Hilton, or 2 others. That way you get to go all the way from say, Mandalay Bay to Treasure Island in like 5 minutes. Its cool at night when the streets are flooded and the shows on the street REALLY clog up walkways. I think it was like $15/ person for being able to ride 10 times… I could be wrong about the price but thats what I think I remember.
Go up the eifell tower at the Paris! Its really cool when they have it open (when winds aren’t too high) because you can see sooo much stuff. Take a camera! Its a little scary though…. don’t go if you or him are afraid of heights. Its really fun though!
Lock yourselves in your room for about two hours with some wine.
