I don’t know where these people live. But in my neighborhood is great!!! No crime or violence. Off of Ann rd & 95, Fort Apache( between Cheyenne & Centennial), between 95 to 215 (cheyenne & Centennial) is very nice not a lot of crime & violence), Centennial, Green Valley, Summerlin & some of the surrounding neighborhoods are really nice!! There are very nice places, don’t let these people discourage you!! There are really nice places!!! Maybe they live by the ghetto!

Outside of central Las Vegas seems to have the better neighborhoods, but it seems pretty much safe anywhere, plus you have to figure in transportation. If you don’t have a car, I suggest yu find an apartment close to work, if you do have a car then you can be a bit more selective.
I just moved here a week ago and I haven’t had any problems and I live in an all Mexican neighborhood.

    Good luck!

Over all Vegas is a dump, but if you have to live here try Henderson/Green Valley. Stay away from Downtown and the Nellis area

    Check links at http://www.lasvegasnow.com

I would suggest the planned communities of Pecolle Ranch, The Lakes, or Summerlin

The safest one would be where someone shoots up their slot machine with an uzi(sub-machine gun) in their backyard, disgruntled with how little it pays back.

there is not safe neighborhood in las vegas.unless you live at wayne newtons house and even then his home is not in the best area but the big walls keep people out.
if you do not have a car try some areas near UNLV but becareful.

like the other person said anywhere outside central is good just i would strongly suggest somewhere near your job or summerlin, henderson, greenvalley ,or aliante thoes are all great areas but we really dont have a project infested area they have all benn torn down so your pretty much good anywhere

Stay away from north Vegas. Try new Henderson or Summerlin. I live in Anthem Country Club which is in new Henderson.
