I would say anywhere on strip. There is a tram that connects quite a few of the hotel/casinos/shopping. If I had to choose, I would say MGM, Monte Carlo, Paris, Bellagio ($$$), Caeser's Palace. I would say MGM has the best pool if kids are involved. There are so many to choose from, search the internet for Las Vegas promotion codes. Figure out what your budget and interests are and then go from there. Have a great time!

Basically, if you plan on staying on the Strip, you're going to have to walk a lot to see the sights. The Strip is just so huge nowadays that to get from one casino to the next is quite a walk. When I go with older members of my family, we stay downtown! It's great because you can bounce from one casino to the other all within a 3-block area! It's looser gambling, too.

I have stayed at almost every hotel downtown, and I would definitely recommend the Golden Nugget for your situation. It's right in the middle of everything, the rooms are nice, and the pool is amazing!

Go to the site below. It has great maps of the vegas strip and also has great rates on hotels. Bellagio, ceasers palace, paris, venetian, are all center strip and nice hotels. Venetian being the nicest and most expensive, followed by bellagio, ceasers palace, and paris. Though Paris is a 4 star hotel and center strip it is a bit smaller than the mega resorts listed. Some people love it and others not so much. I got room rates during the week for $60, but you can get rooms at the bellagio from $99 at smartervegas.com

There are a lot of nice hotels that are close to the center.
For example: The mirage, Bellagio, Stratosphere, Monte Carlo, Paris. And much more, i just can't think of that many right now.
