@chubbyubbey Diana Damrau, Birgit Nilsson, Mariella Devia, Juan Diego Florez, Natalie Dessay, Renee Fleming, Monsteratte Caballe, Jessye Norman, Alfredo Kraus, Jon Vickers. Just to name a few. Even Anna Netrebko is better than Brightman.
Sarah is really not a very good singer at all, but this is a beautiful song. So before you go ranting about “if you don’t like her don’t listen to her” I like the song, which is why I am here.
Sarah sucks.
Yes, I agree there are a lot of opera singers who can sing better in general, but I think Sarah’s voice is very good for this song. And, No, she doesn’t suck.

She doesn’t have the voice of the century, no – that would be a developing opera singer that I know.
This is a rather beautiful song, however, and it’s far more pleasant to hear the solo version than the so-called duet which was just a copy of this with two voices; the lack of real harmonics in it ruined the duet for me.
This however, is wonderful. The only thing that could be changed is the attack that she uses with the higher notes on the “Veduto” phrase.

@Vidhun99 You obviously have never been to one of SB’s performances. If you had, you’d be able to hear the differences from one performance to the next. However, when a video is created imprefections, audible inhales, etc. are edited out of the audio so some think it’s lip-syncing.
