Alaska Cruise Line Review
February 13, 2007 by Lisa
There are more than 5 shipping companies with scheduled trips going to Alaska. Each vessel carries more than a thousand people on board with many fine amenities.
Take for example the Royal Caribbean Line that has the vessel Radiance deployed in the Pacific Ocean. The service is excellent, the food is superb and the facilities on board such as the casino, the bar and the disco are just great.
Travelers who choose to get in this voyage will be making stopovers in ports both in Canada and Alaska. These include Juneau, Hubbard Glaciers, Ketchikan and Skagway. The person will just have to put up with the crowd given there are 2499 other passengers who will be going to Alaska and back throughout the entire voyage.
The Princess Cruise Lines also has large vessels which are at par with the Royal Caribbean. It is no wonder that travel agencies will recommend this shipping company or the other to those who want to go on a week long romantic cruise.
Most of the furniture used on board is made of dark wood mahogany. This is because during the off-season, these vessels are redeployed back to the Atlantic to cater to tourists going either to the Bahamas or the Caribbean.
The Carnival and the Celebrity which comes in number three and four are also worth trying if there are no more slots available on the first two. The price is a bit cheaper and each cabin room comes with a balcony providing an exciting view of the glaciers which the ship will be sailing through.
