today’s win has lobo fans fired up — especially one particular group of unm students that made the trek from albuquerque to vegas. they’re called “the section 26 howl raisers” and we were with them as they got geared up for today’s game. antoinette antonio continues our live team coverage in las vegas. antoinette? who knew there was such an art form when it comes to being a die hard lobo fan. stretching… face painting… practicing cheers… this stuff is exhausting! aaahhh ah ah ah ah it’s not exactly jazzercise. let’s go lobos, lets go baby …. but it’s how these fans get fired up up for lobo games — stretching everything including the vocal cords. the section 26 howl raisers… nats cheering are among a sea of fans sportin’ the cherry red at the thomas and mack. everyone’s a lobo — including the one and only snake. “it’s sunshine in sin city and the lobos are gonna win baby! yeah!” “this year, there’s something magical there’s something special about this year it’s unlike any other lobo season i’ve ever seen its just there’s a certain je ne se qua maybe?” lucky armijo — member of the howl raisers — says the lobos have helped create a strong father-daughter bond with his 13 year old daughter maria. they go to every game together. i love my lobos and i’m a die hard lobo fan, i’ll do anything for my lobos they also prep together — painting eachother’s faces along with the other howl raisers. “its just basically whatever comes to your mind, its kinda like you put …
