Bellagio Las Vegas has always been one of my favorite hotels. It offers the best of everything in a unique setting and who can forget to mention the fabulous Bellagio Fountains. So, just what does it offer the Las Vegas traveler….

You can pleasure in one of Bellagio’s deluxe guest rooms and choose between many dining experiences including exquisite AAA Five Diamond Award-winning at Picasso or Le Cirque. Peer out your window and view the exhilarating Las Vegas Strip, the pristine waters of Lake Bellagio or picture-perfect surrounding mountains.

The highly attentive staff work together to perfect your visit with such luxuries as nighttime turndown service that will complement your stay in this contemporary European-styled enclave.

Of course, we have to mention the gaming facilities. You can place your bets and get ready for action on the most opulent casino floor in Las Vegas. Whether you are interested in serious or light-hearted play, Bellagio offers an ace array of table games to satisfy. Hands down, the most alluring energy around!

But you can’t go to Vegas an just gamble – there’s so much more to enjoy such as the Bellagio Fountains: Breathtaking Union of Water, Music and Light, the Gallery of Fine Art, Botanical Gardens, Cirque du Soleil – “O” and don’t forget the choice of Bellagio Nightlife such as Caramel and opening in December 2007, The Bank.

Winding alongside Lake Bellagio you can experience Bellagio shopping an elite destination comprised of what is quite possibly the best shopping in world. don’t miss the elegant shops at Via Bellagio and discover an impressive collection of illustrious designer boutiques including Chanel, Giorgio Armani and Tiffany & Co.

As well as the exquisite AAA Five Diamond Award-winning at Picasso or Le Cirque, you will be able to select from a wide variety of eating establishments such as Circo at Bellagio: Oven-Fired Tuscan Cuisine, or the best steakhouse in Vegas! PRIME at Bellagio.

Check out the internet specials at Bellagio! and experience the ultimate luxury in rooms, spa, gaming and entertainment!

10th Annual Dummy Downhill

The Diamond Peak Dummy Downhill is a favorite community event, and March 27, 2010 marks the Dummy Downhill’s 10th anniversary! Participants build a dummy on skis or a snowboard that gets launched off a big jump on Showoff run. Categories include Best Crash, Longest Jump, Most Creative and whatever else the judges decide to make up. Last year’s 9th Annual Diamond Peak Dummy Downhill hosted 27 dummies with names such as “Clover Power”, “Jack in the Box”, “Cookie Monster”, “Censored Sally”, the “Flying Lolita” and more! The newly expanded outside deck was full of people clapping and cheering for their favorite fake friends. In the end, over 30 prizes were given away, including gift certificates from Hacienda de la Sierra, Porter’s, Big Water Grille, Village Ski Loft, Austin’s, Garwoods, and more. Diamond Peak wants to make the 10th Anniversary Dummy Downhill bigger and better than ever, but we need your participation! Mark your calendars for March 27, 2010. Come and enjoy live music and great commentary while you watch dummies get hucked off a huge jump! Individuals and teams entering a dummy receive a free commemorative T-shirt and lift ticket for the day (limit 2 per dummy). The Dummy Downhill is open to the public and there are no registration fees. Dummies must be at the base lodge by 11:00 am to be judged on creativity. The jumping begins at noon followed by an award ceremony. Dummy builders are encouraged to be as creative as they can. The following restrictions apply to all dummies: they cannot be live, must not weigh more than 75 lbs, teams that build their dummies to lose parts as they crash will be required to clean up afterward. At least one person from each team must be available to transport and/or unload their dummy at the top of the launch. (read more)
